My Journey

My journey began in 2017 at Landmark University, where I enrolled in the Electrical and Information Engineering program. Here, I was introduced to the foundations of electrical circuit design, signal processing, and problem-solving. However, my growing curiosity about algorithms and artificial intelligence made me reconsider my path. After two years of study, I decided to transition to Computer Science, a field I believed aligned more closely with my evolving passion for technology's role in solving complex problems.

In 2019, I transferred to the Federal University, Lokoja, to pursue a degree in Computer Science. This transition was a turning point. It allowed me to explore new territories in computing, with a particular focus on machine learning and deep learning. My academic career culminated in a significant research project that ran from January 2023 to October 2023. During this period, I developed a text summarization model using deep learning techniques, iteratively optimizing a large language model to generate concise summaries of text data. This project honed my skills in AI development and reinforced my passion for building systems that could intelligently process vast amounts of information.

In parallel with my studies, I also gained hands-on industry experience through an internship at Galaxy Backbone in 2022. Over the course of six months, I worked closely with a team to maintain and upgrade Wireless and Ethernet networks, as well as Optical Fiber Cables. This role exposed me to the practical side of technology infrastructure, from troubleshooting network issues to understanding the intricate workings of high-speed connectivity solutions.

In 2024, driven by a desire to expand my technical expertise further, I earned certifications in deep learning and TensorFlow through deeplearning.ai. These certifications helped me deepen my understanding of AI frameworks and stay ahead of technological trends. Today, I am excited to continue building on this foundation, seeking opportunities where AI and data-driven systems can address real-world challenges.
